IconicA® is the first stable Retinaldehyde available on the market. Retinaldehyde has similiar benefits to Retinol and Retinoic Acid, but far less irritating than either one of them. An added benefit…no prescription is needed with IconicA® which gives more opportunity for your clients to achieve beautiful anti-aging results without having to see a physician, as well as without frustrating downtime.

It has been almost two years since we set out to stabilize Retinaldehyde and we were told by a Retinoid expert that it would be impossible, but iconic, should we be successful. We consulted with many Retinoid experts, including one of the chemists who worked on the development of Retin-A®, in order to layout our plan prior to starting the actual development of a stable Retinaldehyde.

As of today, we have encapsulated Retinaldehyde and doubled the shelf life…we are hopeful that additional tests prove we have achieved a shelf life between 12 to 24 months. We are conducting additional clinicals this summer, but for now, the known benefits of Retinaldehyde stand on their own, along with our preliminary clinicals (ask an Account or Sales Executive to send you the preliminary test pictures), just as the known benefits for Retinol and L-lactic Acid, etc.

The scientific reason behind formulating the first stable Retinaldehyde is shown in the following rank order for inducing the protein CRABP II in skin: Retinoic Acid > Retinaldehyde > 9 cis Retinoic Acid > Retinol. As you can see, a stable Retinaldehyde (IconicA®) is certain to be the revolutionary anti-aging ingredient that we all have been looking for in the market.
