The CoValence Difference...
CoValence's custom formulations [BoldSkinventions™] are built from scratch, a very intensive and precise process involving the careful selection and combination of an almost endless number of ingredients. A product's safety, efficacy and compatibility with the skin are a direct result of the ingredients chosen and how those ingredients interact with each other. CoValence utilizes the latest in both scientific, "green" and natural ingredient technologies in order to achieve the best possible formulary combination, and the following are a more detailed description of the classes of ingredients the CoValence is experienced with:

EARTH-NATURAL INGREDIENTS
CoValence uses natural earth-harvested plant ingredients and pure standardized botanicals, including, but not limited to: extracts, essential oils, purees, etc.

CoValence uses certified organic and wild-crafted botanicals from the above list, if the ingredient can be sourced in a dependable and ethical manner.

It is difficult to build sophisticated therapeutic products that are 100% organic; therefore, we do not classify an entire product as organic. Should a client request the certification, we would examine the viability of the project and create a plan of action.

If a botanical is being harmed due to the over-harvesting [i.e.: Sandalwood], we will discuss the issue with our clients and find ingredient alternatives.

We use alternative preservatives to parabens; however, we do believe in preservatives to help lengthen a product's stability.

LAB-NATURAL INGREDIENTS
Examples of lab-natural ingredients would include amino-acids, vitamins, and many other ingredients that are copied on a molecular basis, in a lab, to mirror nature. CoValence does not fear science. In fact, as our name would imply — our company was founded on the premise of science-based skin care. In our nearly 20 year history, we are a very early front-runner in what has become a trend in the last few years.

Organic chemists are able to construct identical molecular replicas of earth-natural ingredients; however, there is an important screening which has to take place in this process to achieve the bio-identical version.

CoValence, in the mid-90's, became the first skin care manufacturer to self-impose this mandate... we DO choose the bio-identical version. The technical concept surrounding this screening is called, Chirality. This strategic screening is the reason why our products cause far fewer allergic reactions than most manufacturers.

ANIMAL DERIVED INGREDIENTS
CoValence will use animal by-products occasionally if we determine they will produce a particular important result and with our clients' approval. Examples of by-product ingredients are: albumen, whey, marine oils — ingredients in which no animals are killed for the ingredients. They are by-products of the food industry.

Our products have always been tested on humans — never tested on animals.

We are able to source alternative and unique from around the world. We never pegeon hole our clients into only a handful of ingredients. Developing should be fun, along with scientific. Therefore, we continually find exquisite ingredients to satisfy specific client requests.
